After eight years of experience in the construction and design industry, I decided to strike out on my own and bring to life a vision that has always been with me.
Simone Arlia Architecture was born from the desire to build a recognizable design identity—one capable of combining technical expertise, aesthetic sensibility, and a deep appreciation for the value of spaces. This journey began in a small garage, which I transformed into my first professional studio: a simple place, yet rich in meaning. Because every important project begins with a vision even before it takes shape.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on complex projects, coordinate teams, manage construction sites, and delve into every aspect involved in bringing a building project to life. This experience has taught me that architecture is not merely about design or construction, but about the ability to transform ideas, needs, and aspirations into tangible, enduring spaces.
My main source of inspiration is post-World War II Californian modernist architecture. The works of Richard Neutra, Pierre Koenig, and the great figures of Mid-Century Modern have demonstrated how light, materials, and landscape can interact naturally, creating environments that are minimalist yet deeply evocative.
However, I do not seek to replicate that style. My goal is to reinterpret its principles and, over time, develop a personal style rooted in the Italian context and capable of evolving through every design experience.
The pursuit of natural light, the continuity between interior and exterior, the use of authentic materials, and an eye for proportion guide every decision I make. I believe that elegance should not be ostentatious, but rather emerge from the balance of spaces, the quality of materials, and attention to detail.
Today, the firm focuses on architectural design, real estate development, technical and urban planning consulting, and the development of residential projects. Every project is approached with the same ambition: to create lasting value and to design spaces that enhance the lives of those who inhabit them.
The goals I have set for myself extend beyond local boundaries. I aim to build a professional practice recognized for the quality of its work, capable of operating across Italy and international markets, collaborating with clients, professionals, and investors who share the same dedication to design and the value of architecture.
